Hummer sport utility vehicles?

I don't understand why Hummer SUVs always associated with the high-class? I mean to me, they just look plain ugly. I mean if I would have to choose a high-class SUV, I would pick a Lexus RX 300 or a Porsche Cayenne. People associate it with high-class because of it's ridicules price tag (until lately when they can't give those gas guzzlers away).

It has no more capability than any other like equipped Suburban on the road, no more ground clearance, no more power, no more mileage. It just costs more and as you said it's just plain UGLY!
