Do you think SUV's such as the Hummer are contributing to higher gas prices?

With the huge boom in sales of trucks and SUV's in the last 5 years that get less than 20mpg average, do you think this has contributed overall to the amount of gas we consume in North America, and how high gas prices are now?

Have at it...Do you think SUV's such as the Hummer are contributing to higher gas prices?Well, my truck...big truck, gets only 9 mpg, which was a stupid mistake buying. I don't really think it is contributing to the gas prices because SUV sales are slipping. They SAY...i take that term likely, that the SUV age is coming to an end. It cost me 120 dollars to fill up a 44 gallon tank in my truckDo you think SUV's such as the Hummer are contributing to higher gas prices?
I'm not sure if SUVs contributed to high gas prices. What is for sure is that people that have SUV are paying more money in gas that what they should be paying if they had smaller vehicles.

Perhaps people without SUVs are not really affected by others having SUVs in terms of as prices. But SUV鈥檚 owners shouldn鈥檛 complain about gas prices because they have chosen to buy a vehicle that consumes too much gas.Do you think SUV's such as the Hummer are contributing to higher gas prices?YES, so we should have a mass burning of suvs, right.........BOYCOTT SUVS!
Actually in Canada the sales of SUVs are dropping. Comparitively, Canadians pay more per gallon than Americans right now. In some places the price is $1.20 per LITRE, which translates to $4.54 a gallon. So Americans shouldn't be the ones who are complaining.Do you think SUV's such as the Hummer are contributing to higher gas prices? No doubt about it. It's simple Economics 101 - the Law of Supply and Demand: Where there is a deamnd, the market will supply. The higher the demand, the higher the market rate.Do you think SUV's such as the Hummer are contributing to higher gas prices?
yes, definitely. they know that the demand is high and so they can drive the prices up accordingly.
Yes, since SUV's use more gas and they keep reminding us that the reason for higher gas prices is higher demand.Do you think SUV's such as the Hummer are contributing to higher gas prices?
Well Yes and No. I would say that Public transportation and big rigs are the reason...... they consume the most. I drive an Escalade and I have no problem or complaints about fueling up..... It is life ppl. We have zero control over how much they will charge per gallon so quit complaining lol
