are these the same hippies that used to do their road trips in a clapped out V W micro van with flowers painted on the sides?

global warming research money seems to have considerably improved their road trip opportunities.

I don't think they will be painting any flowers on the hummer. They would have got it out of their system a long time ago.Does anyone else find it a little ironic that they plan to drive a 6 ton hummer through the N.W. passage?

Since when did scientists get labeled "hippies"?Does anyone else find it a little ironic that they plan to drive a 6 ton hummer through the N.W. passage?I have my doubts that we'll find any hummer-sized holes in the ice, though perhaps in this case it might be fitting.Does anyone else find it a little ironic that they plan to drive a 6 ton hummer through the N.W. passage?
I bet a VW would be a better vehicle for it- NEVER got mine stuck anywhere. A polar bear might open it up pretty easily, but besides for that....
