Range Rover, lincoln mkx, ford edge, hummer h2/h3 compared?

I am looking to purchase a car and I was looking for a SUV. I liked the Range Rover, the Lincoln MKX, Ford Edge, Hummer H2 and also the Hummer H3. Being a Range Rover owner, I will tell you that the Range Rover is the best (surprised? :) ). Compared to the other vehicles, the Range Rover is the most luxurious as well as the most capable in off-road/hazard weather conditions. The con to the Range Rover is cost, both in purchase price and in maintenance. If cost is an issue, I would look at the Jeep Commander. I test drove one and felt it was about 80-90% the feel of a Range Rover for about 50% of the price.Range Rover, lincoln mkx, ford edge, hummer h2/h3 compared?Range rover is nice, the diesel is economical and powerful. Excellent choice if you plan to do off-roading with the worry of reliability on gasoline engines, the diesel engine is solid and is more at home in adverse conditions.



If you are looking for more of a cruiser, then go for the Hummer H1, civilianised version of the popular US Army Humvee. The proper Humvee is designed to got into places like bosnia, so you know you have a very resilient machine.



My opinion, ford dont really make good off roaders, and I would always put my money on land rover. As they pretty much went anywhere and got armies to the most remote parts of the world.
