What is a throtel body and what dose it do? I have a Hummer H3?

The throttle body is what opens and closes when you depress the gas pedal. It is located at the opposite end of the air intake system from the air filter. If you don't know where that is, on your H3 the air box is the large black box on the left(standing in front of vehicle looking towards the back) inner fender, follow that to the right and you will see a black tube about 4inches in diameter. That will connect to another black box on top of your engine, then another black tube(about 3inches long, then the tube will connect to your throttle body. This is assuming you have the in-line 5 cylinder. Hope this helps. What is a throtel body and what dose it do?
