It says that the hummer requires a 7.2V Battery Pack. If this is a cheap RC car it may break the main board. The other problem is that a standard 9 volt battery probably doesn't have the amps to handle what the car needs.
Also when I was a kid this was a cheap dirty way of adding speed to the car as long at the batteries could handle the amps. So it's like fun when it works and sucks when it doesn't.
