depending on how big your family is. more than 4, then yes. your car should fit your needs. and if you burn down trees that is just adding more of the "bad stuff" to the atmosphere because trees (or other green, leafy things) are what filters the air and cleans all the crap out of it.Would u burn down a forest if it meant that you could transport your family in a Hummer rather than in a Priushow big of a forestWould u burn down a forest if it meant that you could transport your family in a Hummer rather than in a Prius
Your question may be phrased more accurately if reversed. The amount of environmental damage caused and the energy consumed to produce the Prius, outweigh the Hummer. A tremendous amount of energy is consumed producing and shipping the batteries, not to mention the environmental damage from the mining operations needed to make them in the first place. For the useful life of the vehicle, the Hummer is better for the environment.Would u burn down a forest if it meant that you could transport your family in a Hummer rather than in a PriusNo.
I would however take a good look at the total negative environmental impact of the Hummer vs. the Prius.
While the Prius emits far less CO2 than a Hummer, the total environmental impact is greater, due to the mining, processing, and shipping of the nickel used in the batteries.
